  4.   A few things to cover before you dive into the program.
  5.  
  6.   This should be a authenticated ZIP format. If not, then its possible
  7.   that you have not received the original archive released. Some BBS
  8.   SysOps do change the archive format when the file is placed on their
  9.   BBS. To confirm that you have received all the files originally
  10.   packaged, a file list is shown below, generated by
  11.   PKUNZIP -v itrak10

  46.   System Requirements:
  47.  
  48.   1. Hard Disk:
  49.      To get started we reccomend 1 meg of hard drive space. The program
  50.      with all docs etc occupies about 300k of disk space. Another 3-400k
  51.      of space is required when the program swaps to disk for running DOS
  52.      commands from within the program. Some files may be deleted, see
  53.      below. Also, as your data files grow, they will require more room.
  54.  
  55.      The program can be run from a floppy, but is much more efficient
  56.      from a hard disk. This will be discussed further.

  64.   2. Memory:   Invoice Tracker requires 400k of available memory to run
  65.      correctly. 500k or better is strongly advised, to get optimum use
  66.      from the program.
  67.  
  68.   3. DOS Ver.  Invoice Tracker was originally designed with Dos 3.3, but
  69.      should run well with any 3.x version. Runs under 4.0 and 5.0 also.
  70.      I have never tested with versions earlier than 3.3, if you do run
  71.      it under earlier versions, or if you have trouble with earlier
  72.      versions, I'd like to know about it.

  74.   4. Video: Will run under MONO, CGA, EGA, VGA. Invoice Tracker will
  75.      automatically recognize the video. If you're running mono, you're
  76.      gonna miss some of the great color benifits.
  77.  
  78.   5. Printer: A printer is required for the Shareware version to obtain
  79.      printed reports. The registered version allows printing to a file,
  80.      for later printing.

  82.   To Install:
  83.  
  84.      Make a directory on your Hard drive ie: C:\ITRAK, then place the
  85.      ITRAK10.ZIP in that directory and unpack it, PKUZIP ITRAK
  86.      If you do not have a copy of PKUNZIP, you should be able to obtain
  87.      it from the BBS where you downloaded the file.

  89.      Once the program has been unzipped, you can view or print the
  90.      documentation one of two ways.

  92.      From the DOS prompt: type VIEWDOC to read the manual in a scrolling
  93.      window.  To print, enter either: copy itrak.doc prn - or -
  94.      type itrak.doc>prn
  95.  
  96.      OR type TRACKER to start Invoice Tracker, choose Utilities from the
  97.      Main Menu press F9 to read command descriptions.
  98.      Choose Run Dos Command 1 to View Manual
  99.             Run Dos Command 2 to Print Manual

  103.      Files Required:

  105.      The following files ARE required to run Invoice Tracker.

  107.      *.DAT           The data files.
  108.      *.K##           #= a digit; the index files
  109.      *.MEM           The Memo files
  110.      RRUN.EXE        The Runtime Engine
  111.      ITRAK10.RUN     The Program Module
  112.      ITDOS-#.BAT     Where # = 1,2,3 the batchfiles to run DOS programs
  113.                      from within Invoice Tracker
  114.      TRACKER.BAT     Is optional, you can use the commands in the
  115.                      batchfile from the prompt.

  123.      Files For Deletion:

  125.      The following files can be deleted, we reccomend that you do not do
  126.      so right away. Please read the manual before you do delete them.

  138.      Running From Floppy:
  139.  
  140.      Invoice Tracker can be run from a floppy, 360k will work. You will
  141.      need the files listed on the previous page under required files.
  142.      Two things to remember, the data files you create along with the
  143.      index files will reside on the same disk, in the same directory. As
  144.      the required program files use up almost 200k, this leaves little
  145.      room for data and index files. A 1.2 floppy would be best.
  146.      Also, running from a floppy will not allow you to use the DOS
  147.      call (ITDOS-#.BAT) files.

  149.      While Invoice Tracker is very easy to use, it is strongly
  150.      reccomended that you read the manual, its only about 12 pages long,
  151.      and it will make learning the program even easier.
